XML Transformation Languages:logic and applications

The setting is the integration and manipulation of massive data in XML format. We are interested more specifically in the programming and querying languages aspects: expressivity, typing, optimization. We are also interested in studying how this can be done in a context where documents are compressed or in a streaming scenario.
