High Efficiency ad hoc Networks
The project SARAH proposes the study, the implementation and the testing of hybrid ad hoc network architecture for the deployment of advanced audiovisual services, based on the environment information discovery.
The RAF project aims to provide spontaneous networks with high efficiency in terms of quality of services (data, voice, video), rapid deployment, and the deploying of radio stations at low cost.
The applications, through this type of ad hoc networks, are mainly civilian applications for Security Forces (Police,
Firemen, …) in urban and rural areas, but also civilian applications of Internet access through relay nodes.
The studies will be based mainly on wimax technologies with two different kinds of topologies: an Infrastructure mesh network
for non covered areas and an ad hoc network with distributed access protocol through an application of public safety.
